Raw material is sourced from around the world from only the finest recognized mills. Typically from tried and tested mills like Thyssenkrupp, POSCO, AK Steel and so on. These first class materials come with test certificates and are packaged appropriately to prevent degradation of the material.

Products & Services

We offer a variety of Transformer Core Designs, clamp designs and products that will satisfy or exceed your expectations. These include:

Fully Mitred Cores: These come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are mainly used in Transformers.
We are capable of manufacturing any design that a client has from 5Kva to 80Mva.
These Include: Three Phase cores, Single Phase cores, Three Phase 5-Limb cores, Oval cores & Square leg cores. Cores can be made with or without holes. Hole sizes available are 8mm 13mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, 30mm and 34mm.

Step Lap Cores: These are similar to the Fully Mitred cores but the overlap is staggered over several layers. We can manufacture Step Lap cores ranging from 3 Step Lap to 7 Step Lap.

These can be done with or without holes to the same effect as a Mitred Core.

Butt Join Cores: Also available in variations of sizes similar to the above but are mostly common in smaller designs. We can manufacture from 2.5Kva to 5000Kva with various holes

Reactor Cores: Built per requirement with any amount of gaps or biscuits. The laminations can be pre-assembled or pallet as per clients requirements.

Shunts: Commonly used in furnaces. These can be with several holes and shapes as per requirement.

Cut to Length Laminations: Cut to any width and length as required. These can be done to any required stack (or amount) with 90° or Mitred cuts.

CRGO Slit Coils: Our regular widths are from 40mm wide to 1200mm wide in increments of 10mm. We can also supply any specific width as and when needed.

Core Clamps: Made to standard and as per customers requirements.

Quality

All our products are manufactured using top grade CRGO material that is tested before use and are manufactured as per the industry standard. These are provided to our clients according to requirements.

STI Electrical (PTY) Ltd keeps a large amount
of stock on hand in various grades to suits the needs of clients. Popular grades like M5, M4, M3, M0H,

27-100, 23-90, 23-85 are always in stock. Certain other grades are also kept from time to time and any specialized grade can be imported at a moment’s notice.
